In Term 3, preschool students and parents are invited to participate in a special Medal Day.
While not compulsory, we strongly encourage participation as it is a wonderful experience and gives children the opportunity to feel a sense of pride in their achievements.
The cost to participate in a Medal Day is $35 per student, which covers our dance professional’s fees (see below) as well as student report cards, certificates and medals.
How it works
Medal Day runs much like a regular day at Dance Habit except that we invite a special guest in to watch our students dance together as a group. Our special guest is always a carefully selected and friendly dance professional who will observe, chat and encourage students in a fun and supportive environment.
The class is closed (meaning parents are unable to watch), however, immediately after the class, parents are invited in to the studio to enjoy a special medal presentation.
Each student is presented with a certificate and their very own medal to take home with lots of photo opportunities for proud mums and dads!
Additionally, our dance professional will write up a report card for each student with some feedback on their dancing – a great way for parents to receive a direct report on their own child’s progress and skill development this year. Report cards are available to collect from your teacher one week after the Medal Day.
When is the Medal Day?
Medal Days will be held in Term 3 (dates to be confirmed)
Important note: students who choose not to participate will not be permitted to attend their regular class if it is being run as a Medal Day. Refunds are not provided, but make up classes are available and can be used at any time during Term 3.
On the day
Students must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to their Medal Day class time. This is to ensure smooth running of the timetable for all classes. Late arrivals will not be permitted entry. If you are unable to attend, please contact us at least 24 hours beforehand and note that Medal Day fees are non-refundable.
As with regular classes, students may wear anything they like to their Medal Day, but we do ask that they are neatly groomed with hair tidy and off the face.
Medal Days have proven to be an incredibly positive experience for our youngest students and our number one reason for running them is to build happy, confident kids! Just wait until you see the pride and joy on all those faces when they receive their certificate and medal!
If you have any questions about Medal Days, please do not hesitate to contact us.
