Midyear is super low-key and fun! Each class shares some choreography they've been working on, and students simply wear their regular class uniform. Any child not feeling ready to perform is welcome to just come and watch. The best thing about Midyear is bringing our community together for a shared afternoon of dance so we hope you can all make it!

SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE
Our Midyear Performance is a relaxed low-key event, but we will be running on a very tight schedule.
Please be on time to avoid disappointment. If your child’s class is towards the end of the running order, you are welcome to arrive later. We will provide an approximate mid-way time to assist with your planning.
Pre-registration is not required, which means we will not be doing a roll check prior to each class performing. It is important that you carefully check the running order and ensure your child is ready to go when called.
At Dance Habit, we actively choose a student-led approach to build confidence and enjoyment in performing. We ask that you join us in supporting your child’s Midyear experience, even if that means they decide on the day they just want to watch. There is zero pressure to perform, and all families are encouraged to sit back and enjoy the show regardless of their own child’s participation.
BYO blanket or cushion to sit on the floor. Some chairs will be available; however, we ask that you keep these to the perimeter of the gymnasium and reserved for those who need them.
Students should be well-groomed and in their correct class uniform for this performance. If you are unsure of your child’s uniform requirements, please check our website for details. Grooming includes tidy hair.
Bathrooms are located a short indoor walk from the gymnasium, but this area will not be monitored by our staff. For child safety, please ensure children are accompanied by an adult when using the bathroom.
For families with students performing in more than one item, please carefully check the schedule for your child’s dance order, especially for any quick changes as our schedule will not allow us to delay for students who are not ready in time.
We will not be monitoring the use of cameras at this public event so please take this into consideration before attending. That said, we encourage everyone to avoid watching through a lens and choose to be in the moment instead!
Saturday students will have a schedule change on this day. Please see below for updated Saturday students timetable.
