Preschool Medal Celebration

  • Dance Habit 15 White Street Maribyrnong, VIC, 3032 Australia (map)

In Term 4, preschool students and parents are invited to participate in a special end of year Celebration.

While not compulsory, we strongly encourage participation as it is a wonderful experience and gives children the opportunity to feel a sense of pride in their achievements and be rewarded for all their hard work this year.

Medal Celebration will be held between 11 and 14 December in 2024.

The cost to participate in a Medal Celebration is $40 per student, which covers student report cards with feedback from their teacher, a certificate and a medal. Fees are non-refundable once paid.

There is a revised schedule that week to accommodate all students whether you chose to participate in the celebration on not.

HOW IT WORKS

Our Medal Celebration Days run much like a regular day at Dance Habit except that participating students get to take part in a special medal ceremony after their final lesson. The lesson is shorter on this day and pitched as a disco party to celebrate all their hard work this year. At the presentation, each student is presented with a certificate, personalised report card with feedback from their teacher, and their very own medal to take home with lots of photo opportunities for proud family and friends who are all welcome! Staff will then be available to discuss any timetable questions for 2025.

Report cards are a great way for parents to receive a direct report on their own child's progress and skill development this year.

To participate in your Medal Celebration this year, a Registration Form must be completed no later than Sunday 24 November. Please see your email for the link.

THE SCHEDULE

Your child’s Medal Day class and presentation has been scheduled as close to their regular class time as possible. Each day will have a class for those opting out of Medal Celebrations and a class for those wishing to participate. This may mean a schedule change so please take note of your class time for the final week of the year once you have decided whether you wish to join the Medal Celebrations.

GROOMING

As with regular classes, students may wear anything they like to their Medal Day, but we do ask that they are neatly groomed with hair tidy and off the face - especially for the pictures and memories!

END GOAL

Medal Days have proven to be an incredibly positive experience for our youngest students and our number one reason for running them is to build happy, confident kids! Just wait until you see the pride and joy on all those faces when they receive their certificate, report card and medal!
