Middle School Concert 2023 (Prep to Year 12)

  • Clocktower Centre 750 Mount Alexander Road Moonee Ponds, VIC, 3039 Australia (map)

Concert season is magical and the most anticipated and rewarding event of the year for all dancers.

FAQ

  • We have a strict ‘no push’ policy, which means students who are hesitant on the day are encouraged to watch from backstage in the care of one of our team. We will never push a child to go on stage if they are feeling anxious. It is important to remember that the concert experience is not just about those few minutes on stage. As a parent, it is easy to get caught up in this and of course we understand it can be disappointing if your child doesn’t make it on stage, but we encourage you to see it from your child’s perspective. Students gain so much from being part of the concert experience – the hype in the lead up, getting dressed up in a costume, seeing the theatre and backstage areas (likely for the first time ever) and feeling the excitement and joy during the event itself.

Our relaxed and student-led approach means it is rare that children don’t make it on stage, but we still ensure a positive experience regardless – and they come back more confident and 100% ready the following year! It’s important to focus on the long-term goals, not specifically the one day.

    • If a performer is sick on the day and unable to attend, the $25 videography fee will be refunded upon provision of a Medical Certificate.

    • All other concert fees are strictly non-refundable.

WHAT DO OUR PARENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE CONCERT EXPERIENCE?

I just wanted to say a huge congratulations and thank you for an amazing concert.

We enjoyed every second of it and because of the amazing culture and encouragement at Dance Habit, our daughter did not have one minute of nerves. She has come along way in her confidence since joining Dance Habit and I thank all that have been involved with her for that.

I got to experience all the hard work back stage by all involved and loved every minute of it also. Loved helping out.

From the youngest to the oldest all I saw were smiles and words of encouragement. I have been involved in a few concerts over the years and Dance Habit stands out as truly unique in not only does it talk about it being inclusive it actually manages to achieve this.

Keep doing what you are doing because we need more Dance Habits in this world.
